STEM Ambassadors: enabling project based learning

This pack is intended to support STEM Ambassadors. This resource will explain how you can be an effective project mentor and how you can provide this support remotely.

Project-based learning is a teaching method which involves students designing and running their own projects based around real world subjects that interest them. It gives students ownership of their learning and encourages them to develop a range of skills from inquisitive thinking and problem-solving to planning and time management. This more creative, hands-on style of learning is a useful tool for teachers as the projects provide a multi-ability approach. The emphasis is on the thought process and how students come to produce their final reflections and findings, giving them free rein on how they choose to get there.
