Making a fortune cookie
One of a series of resources from the IET that uses the theme of the lunar new year to develop pupils knowledge and skills in design and technology. In this activity children will learn about cutting and folding simple 3D structures to make and assemble a fortune cookie from card.
The activity could be used as a main lesson to teach pupils about simple structures made from separate parts or used to initiate a discussion about cultural traditions and how they originate.
