Simple compound interest
This Core Maths activity introduces the concept of simple and compound interest and its effect on the amount by which an investment grows over time. To complete the activity students will use an Excel spreadsheet to calculate and compare the interest amounts accrued.
A link is included within the teacher guidance to the Nuffield Foundation financial calculations resource on which it is based.
