Functional mathematics

This book gives students practice at applying their mathematical skills to functional problems. Each of the 16 units in the book begins with basic functional questions, gradually progressing through more complex skills to open-ended questions and ending with an exam style open-ended functional task. The pupil book also includes a CD-ROM with an interactive PDF of the book and includes hints to help with the knowledge required and reminders of things to consider.

The teacher CD-ROM links to the Essentials online resource, providing guidance on what mathematics is needed before beginning each unit, answers to all questions and a mark scheme for the final task. Further questions in a similar style will be added to the planner as they become available to ensure that the resources keep up with changes made to the style of question.
