People maths

People games are activities, puzzles, games and problems which take place within a group of four or five pupils, with the potential for mathematical exploration and investigation. They encourage discussion and participation, and are hence a valuable teaching aid.

The common factor in all the activities in this book is that the people taking part form the moving pieces of a puzzle. They work together to reach an end-point in a minimum number of moves, and investigate what would happen if the rules or the number of participants should change.
