Number kit 1: count it!

This is a book that aims to help teachers develop children's understanding of place value through counting activities. It helps to reinforce understanding of cardinal and ordinal numbers.

The book includes activities which: promote familiarity with writing and working with numbers initially to nine and then beyond; show children how to use patterns to recognize quantities; encourage use of number lines, to count backward and forwards; involve counting and recounting collections of objects; and give experience of odd and even numbers.
