Cosmic maths: year 3

Cosmic Maths is a series aimed at Key Stage 2 children that has been created by teachers to promote and encourage core mathematical knowledge and skills.
Covers the Key Objectives set out in the new National Curriculum 2014. Includes up to 18 Lesson plans with Independent and guided tasks Assessment tests and skills reports with each activity. A CD with differentiated activities Glossary of mathematical terms is included.
It covers Key Objectives set out in the new National Curriculum and focuses on providing practice in Number, Fractions and Statistics.
Each lesson plan helps teachers to define key vocabulary and mathematical terms and introduces a guided activity that supports learners as they explore numbers through a range of exercises; this is then followed up with an independent activity differentiated at three levels to practice what learnt.
A wide range of practical problem solving activities is covered, many of which are cross-curricular, in order to give learners a wider view of how maths, especially number, can be used and applied in the 'real' world.
Each book includes a skills report for each activity and assessment tests to monitor the learning and progress taking place.
Answers to each activity are also given in full.
