AS science in society

Science in Society is a unique A Level course giving arts and humanities students the opportunity to broaden their A Level curriculum, and science students the opportunity to reflect on their specialist studies in a wider context.

Replacing "AS Science and Society for Public Understanding", the AS Science in Society Student Book has been fully revised to fulfil the needs of students and teachers following the 2008 AS AQA specification for GCE Science in Society.

  • Endorsed by AQA for a close match to the 2008 AQA specification for GCE Science in Society.
  • Written by experienced examiners to support and inspire students to reach their potential for exam success.
  • In-text and review questions for each chapter test and develop knowledge and encourage students to engage with issues, promoting discussion.
  • How Science Works is integrated throughout to help students understand the underlying principles of science.
  • Explores key scientific principles in the context of historic and modern society, and technology
