Creative use of calculators

This book shows how the calculator can stimulate anyone to think more critically about mathematical processes. The author first explains the principles of modern machines and shows how to do a selection of practical calculations. The he shows how everyday problems lead on to various more theoretical areas of mathematics. And throughout he gently encourages the reader to develop logical ways of thinking which will be of use even for more advanced areas of mathematics.
