Using ICT to meet teaching objectives in secondary science

The aim of this book is to equip teachers with the necessary knowledge, skills and understanding to make sound decisions about when, when not, and how to use ICT effectively in teaching secondary science. This includes:

  • knowledge and understanding of the contribution that different aspects of ICT can make
  • effective planning, including the use of ICT for lesson preparation and the choice and organisation of ICT resources
  • the use of ICT in whole class teaching
  • assessment of pupils' learning of science when ICT has been used
  • the use of ICT to keep up to date, share best practice and reduce bureaucracy.
