Mathematics through the senses: games, dance and art

This book is written in the hope of encouraging the beginnings of co-operation between disciplines as different from each other as mathematics, physical education, dance, music and art.

There are suggestions for situations in which students can learn some mathematics through moving their bodies, touch, rhythm, colour and shape, and showing students how they can enjoy the elusive process of abstraction by going through its various stages from the most concrete and simple games to the purest of mathematical abstractions.
