Equations
Quadratic Equations contains three instant maths ideas covering expanding two brackets, factorising expressions and completing the square and using the formula to solve equations. Students are required to explore the importance of the discriminant. The resource sheet contains number puzzles which require the formation and solution of quadratic equations. Simultaneous equations contains ten instant maths ideas covering the substitution method and the elimination method. There are a number of tasks requiring students to form and then solve simultaneous equations in a variety of contexts.
