Stem Cell Research: The Lesson

Produced by Teachers TV, this video shows science teacher, Teresa Bennett, delivering a lesson around the controversial issue of embryonic stem cell research.

Using the supporting video, which tells the story of a Parkinson's disease sufferer, Teresa introduces the students to the idea that stem cell research could cure a host of diseases and conditions. She explains how embryonic stem cells could help before then opening up an ethical debate on the subject.

Also present is Ralph Levinson from the Institute of Education who gives Teresa some valuable feedback on her lesson.

The related programme, Stem Cell Research: The Issue, is also available to view.
