The major resources are: *Reporting science - a unit which provides an opportunity for pupils to develop their writing, speaking and listening skills through role-play as journalists while developing scientific literacy skills. *Ideas and evidence - materials which will help children to understand how scientific knowledge changes; why scientists may disagree about the interpretation of evidence, and that science is an activity that involves creativity and imagination. *What makes a scientist? - photographs and profiles of scientists showing the great variety of their work. Prominent engineers talk about what excites and inspires them, focusing on engineering. *The poetry of science - a format for a short activity to help pupils describe a scientific idea in a creative way to achieve a poetic form.
