Working With Science: General Guidance

Nuffield Working with Science was first published in the 1970s and then revised for CPVE in the 1980s. The programme was designed for ‘new sixth formers’ staying on at school for one year after the age of 16.

In the first edition there two Teachers’ Guides giving an overview of the programme and giving advice on course organisation, teaching, learning and assessment. Separate booklets of Teachers’ Notes provided guidance on sets of units.

In the second edition for CPVE, the general guidance and specific unit guidance was put together into a single Tutor’s Handbook.
