Calculation Activities for Students Aged 5-7

A selection of resources published by BEAM for teachers of primary mathematics. They include challenging problems and puzzles to help students practise and consolidate their mathematical understanding.

The activities, presented with their mathematical content, are:

*Words - recognising multiples of 5 and single digit calculations

*25 calculations - sum and difference

*Answers - making 5, 8, 9 and 10

*Looking for patterns - complete the patterns

*Number sentences - matching four rules to a quantity

*Pattern - addition to 5 and 8

*Words 2 - recognising multiples of 10 and single digit calculations

*Number crossword - calculations using the four rules
