Quick Guide for STEM Work Experience Placements
This guide from the Department for Education is designed to help teachers, learners, employers and anyone involved in work experience develop strategies for creating good quality placements for young people aged 14–19. The Quick Guide for STEM Work Experience Placements has a question and answer format to assist users in finding information relevant to their needs as quickly as possible.
A Guide to Self Arranged STEM Placements is also in production. There is a plethora of general information available about work related learning and placements. Links to some of the main organisations involved in the promotion of work experience have been included. However, there are many more sources of information available which have not been referenced in order to focus on placements that feature STEM subjects and careers.
This publication can be used together with the Guide to Examples of Good Quality STEM Placements which has been designed to help employers, teachers, students and anyone involved in work experience develop strategies for creating good quality placements for young people aged 14–19.
